Addie Lou Boozer Hinkle of Edmond, Oklahoma passed away on March 28, 2011 at the age of 83 years. She was born on September 30, 1927 to Joe and Bertha (Pinson) Boozer in Frederick, Oklahoma and grew up on a farm in Tillman County. Addie graduated as a member of the Oklahoma Honor Society from Laing High School in June, 1945. Shortly thereafter, she relocated to Oklahoma City and attended business college. She worked for the Oklahoma County Courthouse early in her career, then went to work for Tomerlin and High, Attorneys at Law, as a bookkeeper/secretary and remained there for the rest of her career, spanning over 40 years. Addie married Jack Charles Hinkle on August 14, 1947 and together they raised 3 daughters. They celebrated 56 years of marriage before his death in 2003. She joined the Gamma Delta Chapter of the Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority, a philanthropic organization, on April 20, 1960 and celebrated her 50th year as a member in 2010 with a party among many long and close sorority sisters. In 1989, she was Co-Chairman of the International Convention, held in Oklahoma City and acted as the appointed International Law Chairman for many years and served a term as President of the Gamma Delta Chapter. Addie is also preceded in death by her parents, brother Leo and two infant brothers. She is survived by daughters, Jackie Gordon (Mike), Sandy Holmes (Ron) and Karen Goodner. She is also survived by grandchildren Janelle Choplin (David), Kevin Gordon, Eric and Sean Holmes, Crystal Yarbrough (Josh) and Casey Goodner along with step grandchildren Dawn Gaitis, Michael P Gordon, Lara Bromagen and Stacey Floyd. Addie is also survived by great-grandchildren Ashton and Hayden Yarbrough, Addison and Jacob Choplin and four step-great grandchildren.
