Adnan Swies passed away at his home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on July 21st, 2018 at the age of 70.
Adnan is survived by his wife, Ahlam Swies, of Oklahoma City, and his three children: son Sam Swies, daughter Rowan Nasr and her husband Philip Nasr and their children, and daughter Rehan Conerly and her husband Chance Conerly and their son, all of Oklahoma City. Adnan is further survived by his seven siblings, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Adnan was born on March 5th, 1948 in Madaba, Jordan to Salman and Fatha Swies. He immigrated to Michigan, then moved to Oklahoma in 1979, where he met his wife Ahlam and they soon married.
Adnan worked hard to become established and care for his family. Throughout his life he stayed true to his beliefs, approached everything with a thoughtful logic, and maintained an unwavering and inspiring sense of humor. His wife and children will always remember his quick-wit and captivating storytelling - they loved him dearly, as did all those who knew him. He will be greatly missed. May his memory be Eternal.
Services are scheduled for 10:30 AM on Tuesday at Saint Elijah Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church in Oklahoma City.
