Albert Frederick 'Fred Schrempp' Schrempp

Fred Schrempp passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014, in Oklahoma City. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska and raised in Topeka, Kansas. He served in the Army during WWII and met his wife of 70 years and love of his life "Sweet" Eloise while working in the Pentagon. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in accounting, then graduated from Oklahoma City University with a law degree. He was both a CPA and Member of the Bar. Fred is survived by his wife, Eloise, and six children, Ann Gasper, Barby Steelman, Peggy Coe, Tom Schrempp, Jim Schrempp, and Greg Schrempp along with their spouses. Fred was known as Opa to his 9 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren with one more on the way. Fred retired as Chief of the Audit Division for the Southwest Region of the IRS, then went on to serve as a Vice President and Comptroller for Panhandle Royalty Oil Company. Fred and Eloise were founding members of St. Eugene's Catholic Parish and have been active members to this day. He was an avid OU fan and loved to play and watch golf. He spent many years as an active member of Toastmasters. Fred and Eloise loved to travel and made many trips to Hawaii and other wonderful destinations. He was dearly loved by all and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be 6 to 8pm on Thursday at Smith Kernke. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Friday, June 20, 2014 at St. Eugene's Catholic Church.
