Alice was born on February 14, 1955 in Midland, Texas to Layman and Eddie Dail Baker. She graduated from Andrews High School in 1973 and attended Midland Commercial College.Alice began her career in banking, and it was during this time that she met the love of her life, Ernie Buttross, her beloved husband of 40 years. With the arrival of their two wonderful sons, Scott and Kevin, their marriage was truly blessed. She enjoyed her family life in Texas, living in Andrews, Midland and Amarillo, before moving to Roswell, NM and later settling with her family in Edmond, OK. Alice was an amazing mother that devoted her life to her family, and nothing made her happier than celebrating with her sons, as they each married their beautiful brides. Her ability to give others a helping hand or a shoulder to lean on, were special gifts that Alice shared with the many lives that she touched. In the aftermath of the Oklahoma City bombing, she provided much needed assistance to victims and their families.During the last several years of working with Williams Sonoma, she met great coworkers and made lasting friendships. Following her retirement, she was excited to continue her passion for travel.
