Alyssa Michelle de la Torre passed away on June 28th, 2018.
She was born in Fort Worth, TX on December 19th, 2001. Alyssa lived in Texas, Idaho, Louisiana, and Oklahoma, and she made friends everywhere she went. She loved to go thrifting, to take pretty pictures, and to be with friends. Her favorite downtime activity was reading. People, music, and books were her greatest pleasures.
A hardworking student, Alyssa was recently inducted into National Honor Society. She was looking forward to her junior year, hoping to take a few more advanced classes to prepare her for college in Texas. She especially liked photography and left behind hundreds of photos for her family to enjoy.
Alyssa was preceded in death by her Uncle Jeff. She is survived by her loving parents Art and Amanda de la Torre, her beloved older brother Nicholas, and both sets of grandparents, Ralph and Yvonne de la Torre of El Paso, TX and Duane and Billie Dodd of Fort Worth, TX, as well as her devoted great-aunt Dianne Dodd. Yvette and Jerry Haddad, and Annette and Mark Paez, aunts and uncles, also mourn her death.
If you would like to remember Alyssa with a gift, we encourage a donation to one of the local animal shelters or the Humane Society. Alyssa had two rescue dogs. She would be gratified to know that other abandoned animals would be saved in her memory.
Alyssa and her best friend, Taylor Stoddart, left this world together. Therefore, a Celebration of Life will honor them both on July 6th at Waterloo Road Baptist Church from 6-8pm.
