Amy Jo Jordan Rupe, 86, passed away peacefully July 28, 2011 with her family at her side. She was born in Henryetta, OK on March 17, 1925 to James and Allene Jordan. Jo was valedictorian of the 1942 class of St. Michael's High School. After graduation she moved to OKC to work at Tinker Field during WW II. In November of 1954 she married Ted Rupe. Jo is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 52 years, Ted, her sister, Mildred and her brother, Jimmy Ed. Survivors include her sons, Kevin (Susan) and Brian and her daughters Ann Coryell (Shawn) and Diane. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Chris, Amy, Caitlin and Molly along with brother-in-law George Rupe and sister-in-law Mary Kathryn Beavers. Also surviving are nephews David Nordyke, Rick Nordyke, Walker Beavers and nieces Suzanne Sinclair, Laurel Rupe, and Sidonie Rupe. Jo was a loving wife and mother, a devout Catholic and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church for more than 50 years. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Charles School, Mercy Hospice, or St. Jude's Children's Hospital. A rosary service will be held on Sunday at 6:00 p.m. at Smith & Kernke and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
