Andrea Lynn Raglow succumbed to her battle with depression unexpectedly on April 10th, 2025. Hers was a mostly internal battle with mental illness, unknown to the hundreds of people she interacted with during the week who saw only her wit and charm and talent and smile. Andrea was a teacher by profession, supremely gifted in the classroom. She cared deeply for her students, and the more difficult the student the more she poured into them. She had super-high academic expectations, a love of reading and learning, classroom appearance and student behavior. Andrea and Patrick married in 2001 and courtesy of the US Air Force they lived in Florida, DC, Germany, OKC and Las Vegas. Andrea and Patrick moved back to Oklahoma City in 2012 to be closer to family and for Patrick’s work at Catholic Charities. Andrea was a devoted mother to the three greatest joys of her life, Thomas (born in Virginia; UDallas 2025), Maria (born in Germany; KU Jayhawks 2027) and Rebekah (born in Las Vegas; Edmond Memorial 2027). She loved them with everything she had and was proud of their many academic and athletic successes. Andrea loved Jesus and the Blessed Virgin Mary, was deeply committed to her Catholic faith, and found many dear friends through her work at Sacred Heart Catholic School, St. Elizabeth Catholic School, and St. John the Baptist Catholic parish. The Eucharist and the Rosary became her constant companions, even more so towards the end. Andrea was her sister Lisa’s biggest supporter and enjoyed her many walks with Lisa and their shared friends. She was immensely loyal and never hesitated to stand up for those with whom she was close. Physical fitness and healthy eating were passions of hers. As a child, she was an athlete, and all three of her children were or are athletes themselves. After long days in the classroom, Andrea would always show up, rain or shine, to watch her children compete, whether the event was fifteen minutes or many hours away. Andrea is preceded in death by her father Lee Hunt, brother Christopher Hunt and survived by her mother Karen Hunt, sisters Lisa and Stephanie, her husband of 23 years Patrick and children Thomas, Maria and Rebekah. In her final moments, Andrea was seeking her Divine Physician and is now in His tender and compassionate care.
Services will be at St. John the Baptist in Edmond, 900 S. Littler, Edmond OK 73034 with a Rosary, wake and reception on Tuesday night, April 15th (6PM) and a funeral mass Wednesday April 16th (1PM), interment following at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond.
