Andrew Charles Robertson, Andy, died July 8, 2016 at his home in Houston, Texas. He was born October 11, 1947 in Washington, DC to Colonel Philip and Susan Robertson and was the oldest of seven children. He attended Kansas State University where he was a gymnast and studied architecture before joining the Army. He served in Vietnam in 1968-69 as an infantry sergeant where he was awarded the silver star, two bronze stars with "V", the combat infantry badge and two purple hearts. He returned home to start a lifelong career in the construction business. Andy started at an entry level position as timekeeper/clerk of the works with H.A. Lott Construction at the Baptist Hospital site and worked his way up to senior vice president and member of the management committee at its Houston headquarters. He went on to found Farnsworth & Lott Construction, was a project executive with Charles Pankow Builders in Oakland, California and then returned to Houston to manager the Houston Division of Manhattan Construction Company as executive vice president of that company. After retiring from Manhattan, he started his consulting business for construction and real estate development companies as Robertson Building Strategies. He left many great friends and colleagues in Houston both in and out of the construction business. Andy was an enthusiastic collector of fine art and books and loved to travel with London, Italy and Las Vegas being favorite and frequent stops. He was preceded in death by his parents Philip Owen Robertson and Susan Jane Briscoe and his brother Timothy McDonald Robertson. Andy is survived by his brother Mark A. Robertson and his wife Susan of Oklahoma City, his sister Caroline J. Wood and her husband Steve of Seminole, his sister Jennifer A. F. Robertson of Norman, his sister Sarah E. Trimmier and her husband Jim of Austin, his sister Suzanna K. Garza and her husband Fred of Dallas and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to All Souls Episcopal Church in Oklahoma City where he will be placed in the columbarium with his parents and brother. A memorial service will be held at All Souls Episcopal Church at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 22.
