ANNA CLARA DENELSBECK left her earthly home on Dec 26, 2013 to take her place in Heaven with God and his Angels. She has joined her heavenly family and friends with great joy. Her accomplishments on this Earth are far too many to list, but in her 94 years she definitely left her mark on hundreds of people. Some things she loved to do include dancing which she did well into her eighties. She sewed everything from hemming pants to making dresses. She made each child's family a quilt. Ann was an avid gardener belonging to the Viola Garden Club and she grew roses in her yard. While she loved yellow roses her favorite was a Hawaiian Red Rose which grew on the side of her house. She collected coins and stamps. She volunteered for many organizations like St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church where she was selected as Women of the Year for her contributions to several organizations. For around seven years Ann delivered Mobile Meals and when election time rolled around in Oklahoma City you could find her volunteering with the Election Board. Despite her busy life every December she would prepare for Christmas, her favorite Holiday turning her home into a Christmas wonderland for all her family and friends to enjoy. If you had a favorite, chocolate chip cookies, party mix, date nut bars she made it especially for you. She didn't just cook at Christmas as she was known far and wide for her potato salad and Spanish rice. Ann was an organizer. She headed up many clubs and organizations and revitalized many at church. Ann was instrumental in forming the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus Council 4601. But Ann's greatest pleasure was meeting and talking to people. She truly never met a stranger. She was at her best when she turned a stranger into a friend. She is survived by her husband George of 68 years, her three children and their spouses, Ron and June Denelsbeck, Don and Marie Denelsbeck, Jo Ann and John Rohrbacker. She is also survived by six grandchildren and their spouses, Ronald D. Denelsbeck II, Michelle (Shelly) Gathright, Robert and Christina Denelsbeck, Sean and Elizabeth Rohrbacker, Nick and Ashley Denelsbeck, and Eric Rohrbacker. God blessed her with nine great-grandchildren, Michael and Christopher Denelsbeck, Dalton and Logan Clements, Rylan, Rayden and Laureen Denelsbeck, Oliver Rohrbacker and Mason Denelsbeck.. Although her family and friends mourn her death we invite you to celebrate her life with us. A wake will be held at six o'clock at Smith and Kernke Funeral Home, 1401 NW 23rd on December 30th.
