Anna Christine O'Brien Nasedkin was born in Independence, MO, ended up in Edmond, OK at age 8. Anna attended Edmond Memorial High School and spent most of her career as a legal assistant. Her last endeavor was to help her husband grow his furniture manufacturing business to a retail store in Oklahoma City. Anna was a sparkle of light to all she met. Never meeting a stranger, she would be baking you cookies and learning about your life in no time at all. Anna loved to play board games and used her extensive vocabulary to always win at Scrabble. She passed away on January 2, after a brave and courageous battle with Multiple System Atrophy at age 53. Her 4 year battle began shortly after her marriage to Andrew Nasekdin of Vancouver, Canada. Her time in Canada was a new chapter in an adventurous life. Her loving in-laws, Jay and John Nasedkin, have a beach house near Vancouver where many of her happiest memories were spent with family. She is survived by her 3 children who were the everything in her world; Katie O'Brien and partner Adam Goodrich, Molly O'Brien & Sam O'Brien; her mother, Anna Marie McCharen and her father Larry Stockton; 5 sisters, Peggy McMahon, Elizabeth Baggett, Denise Pitzman, Jennifer Roy, Chrissy Rackliffe and brother, Larry Stockton. Anna always cherished time shared with her 12 nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the many supportive and giving families that provided weekly meals, friendship, and care. Thank you to the kind and loving caregivers, Quail Creek Nursing Facility, Physicians Choice Hospice, and many others who loved and cared for Anna. Anna's life will be celebrated both at an evening prayer service, Monday, Jan 6th at 6:30 pm at Smith & Kernke North and at the Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, Jan 7th at 11:00am at Christ the King Church. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Parkinson's Foundation of Oklahoma.
