Anne Kay Herd passed away Sunday, June 13, 2010 at her daughter's home in Edmond. She was born Jan. 25, 1931 in Cleveland, OH. She grew up and graduated from Mifflin High School near Columbus, OH. Soon after graduation, she moved to Oklahoma City where she met and later married James Alvin Herd at Olivet Baptist Church. She worked as a bookkeeper for Morris Chevrolet for many years and her long standing relationship with Olivet led to her serving as secretary there for 20 years. She enjoyed traveling, reading, dining out, playing the piano and singing in the church choir but mostly spending time with her family. She is survived by two daughters, Debby Gibson of Oklahoma City and Susan Hancock and husband Jerry of Edmond, a sister, Joyce Saunders of Phoenix, AZ, four grandchildren, Chris Lair, Ashley Lair, Lacy Gibson and Bethany Gibson, four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers, Kenneth and Charles Glover.
