Anthony "Tony" Joseph Mirrione, age 68, was born to Sicilian immigrant parents Gaetano and Caterina Mirrione in Detroit, Michigan on January 24, 1947. He was the eldest of four children and grew up in the streets of Brooklyn, NY. He entered military service with the US Army and proudly served one year in the Vietnam War. Upon returning he was stationed in Ft Sill, OK. In March of 1968, he met and soon married the love of his life, Marsha Ann Rush. They moved to New York where Tony began his life long career in banking. In 1972 they had their first child, Anthony Thomas and later that year they moved to Oklahoma City. In 1978 their daughter, Katherine Elizabeth was born. Tony continued working in the banking industry with First National Bank and later with BancFirst, until his retirement in 2004. He is survived by his loving wife Marsha, son Anthony, daughter Katherine, his beloved grandsons Aleczander and Vincent, sister Rose Marie, brother Salvatore, numerous nieces and nephews and his 1965 Pontiac GTO convertible. Tony especially enjoyed 60's classic rock, golf, cards, coffee time with his buds at Petty's Quick Stop, OU sports, classic cars and car shows and fine Italian dining. Tony's wit, humor, passion, wisdom and experience helped many throughout his life. He was an avid Pontiac connoisseur and a legend in the Pontiac world, assisting countless enthusiasts in locating or selling special parts needed to complete a project or restoration. He is a founding member and current President of the Central Oklahoma Pontiac Association (COPA) and recently received a lifetime achievement award for his contributions. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 6, 2015 at 10:00am at St. Eugene Catholic Church with internment at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
