Arthur & Arline Powell

Arthur was born in Enid, OK on November 3, 1924 to Emmett and Mable Powell. He passed away January 29, 2019. He graduated from Enid high school in 1942, and served in the Army Air Corps in WWII. Arthur was an emeritus member of the OK Society of CPA's, and retired from Star Buildings as VP of Finance. Arline was born in Waukomis, OK on April 1, 1923 to Henry and Mary Engelman. She passed away February 2, 2019. She graduated from Enid high school in 1941. During Arthur's overseas service in the war, Arline worked in a Kansas ammunition plant. She also volunteered and worked as a church secretary for many years. Arthur and Arline were married in 1943 and raised two wonderful children. They celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary in 2018. They were both active members of St.Paul's Lutheran Church for over 60 years, and moved to Houston, TX in 2013, to be near family. They are survived by daughter Debbie (Doug) Lemons of Houston and son Jeff (Kristi) Powell of Draper, UT, four grandsons, Marc (Regina) Lemons, Greg (Kaycee) Lemons, Jared (Jen) Powell and Dillon (Andrea) Powell, and seven great grandchildren. Macaela and Micah Lemons, Seth and Jace Lemons, Taylor Powell, and Easton and Blakely Powell. Arthur is also survived by his sister, Lois Sabin, of Boise, ID. Arline is survived by her sister, June Brainard, of Edmond. Services will be held at Resurrection Memorial Chapel on Saturday, February 16th at 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be sent to St. Paul's Lutheran Church music program. 10600 N.
