Ashley Brooke Rhodes

A bright light, gone out far too soon; Ashley Brooke Rhodes, 37, of Edmond, Oklahoma passed away after a lengthy illness on the 19th of April, 2020. She was born at Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City on June 16, 1982. Ashley graduated from Deer Creek High School. She later earned her degree from Oklahoma State University in December 2007 and was certified as a Registered Nurse in January of 2008. Ashley was selflessly dedicated to serving others in need. Her passion was caring for her ICU patients at Mercy Hospital until her own health issues prevented her from working. Ashley will be remembered for her loving spirit and kindness. Her loves were her family, being a part of her nephews' lives, as well as her dog, Violet. She enjoyed Christian music, research and travel. She is survived by her immediate family; mother, Charla E. Rhodes; father, Gary C. Rhodes; sister, Brandi Shaw and her husband Thomas and their sons, Lawson and Aidan Shaw; sister, Jamie L. Caldwell and her husband Brian and their sons, Noah and Jonah Caldwell, all of Edmond, Oklahoma; as well as numerous other loving extended family and friends. Those wishing to honor Ashley may do so by contributing to the Gastroparesis Patient Association for Cures and Treatments (G-PACT). Ashley will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City. A Memorial Service to celebrate Ashley's life is planned for her Birthday at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at the Smith & Kernke N. May Chapel.
