Barbara Ann West

Barbara "Barbie" Ann West, 64, met her Savior, Jesus Christ on January 16, 2021. The graveside service will be held at Rose Hill Burial Park at 6001 N.W. Grand Boulevard, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73118 on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 1:00 PM. No viewing is scheduled. There will be a celebration of life scheduled at a later date in Fort Worth, Texas. Barbie was born on November 2, 1956 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Kenneth Accola Brinkley and Doloris Amelia Hillemeier Brinkley. Barbie graduated Northwest Classen High School in 1974 where she had already fallen in love with her soulmate, Randal "Randy" Morgan West. On August 10, 1975, Barbie and Randy were wed and began their beautiful life together. In 1985, Barbie graduated Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and continued her career at Baptist Hospital helping others. In March 1990, Barbie and Randy moved their family to Fort Worth, Texas to begin a new journey. Barbie enjoyed working for Cook Children's Hospital as a pediatric nurse and case manager until a higher calling came; caring for her sweet grandchildren as a Mimi. Barbie's greatest love was for the Lord and her family. Barbie's love was easily observed through her kindness and actions to others. Barbie was a devoted member of Gateway Church and participated in numerous ministries where she graciously gave her presence and prayers to others in need. Barbie is survived by her loving husband, Randy West; children, Stephen West (Hope), Timothy West (Jennifer) and Jonathan West (Debbie); and grandchildren, Cheyanne West, Brayden West, Levi West, Taylor West, and Savannah Sailer-Torres; and many cousins, family members and friends that loved her very much. Barbie is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Accola Brinkley and Doloris Amelia Hillemeier Brinkley; and grandparents, Guy M. Brinkley and Leona C. Accola Brinkley. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be given to the Lupus Foundation (www.lupus.org), and condolences can be sent to Randy West at his home address.
