Barbara C. Kelly passed away on November 6 at her home. She was born on Nov. 19, 1934, in Beggs, OK. Soon thereafter, she moved with her family to Oklahoma City and was a member of the first graduating class of Southeast High School. She married Jim Kelly on April 29, 1955. Jim's job moved them to Lawton for 4 years, Tulsa for 8 years, and returned to Oklahoma City in 1982. She was a devoted homemaker and a member of the Quail Springs Baptist Church. She dedicated over 10 years of her life caring for children in her home and when she became a grandmother, she helped care for her grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoyed making ceramics. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Weaver and Carrie (Russell) Weaver and her brother Leonard Weaver. She is survived by her husband, Jim of the home; children, John Kelly and wife Nancy of Oklahoma City, Rhonda Cobian of Edmond, and Jamie Moore of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren, Katy Kelly, Jordan Cobian, Zach Moore, and Josh Moore; siblings, Wilma Taylor and husband Melvin of Oklahoma City, Ronald Weaver and wife Peggy of Oklahoma City, and Josie Smith and husband Lewis of Sherwood, AR, and sister-in-law, Barbara Weaver of Noble, and several nieces and nephews. Viewing will be at Smith & Kernke on Friday with the family present from 5-7 p.m. The funeral service will be held Saturday, Nov. 9 at 11 a.m. at Smith & Kernke Chapel, 14624 N. May Avenue.
