Barbara Ella Anderson

Longtime OKC resident Barbara Ella Anderson passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2017. She was born June 17, 1926 in Stillwater, OK to Val and Ella Schott. Barbara was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, as well as an active businesswoman in OKC. A graduate of Oklahoma State University, she worked professionally in journalism and advertising, including at one time running her own PR/advertising firm. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Clayton Anderson, longtime OKC Chamber of Commerce public relations director. She is survived by her children Christy Anderson; Charles Anderson, his wife Cecily and their children Jessica and her husband Jacob, Kelly and her husband Kyle, Trevor Clayton and Skyler; Jamie Anderson, his wife Barbara and their children Rachel, William Clayton and Kathryn Ella; Maggie Pitchkolan and her husband Steve; and three great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the church where she and her husband were charter members, St. Eugene's Catholic Church, at 10 a.m., Monday, July 17.
