Barry was born in Floydada, Texas to Macyl Glynn and Norma Jean Boteler. Barry graduated from McArthur High School in Irving, Texas in 1969. He moved to Oklahoma in 1970 and married Connie Seabourn that same year. In 1971 Barry began his career as a paper handler for Oklahoma Publishing Company and in 1978 he became a licensed machinist. He retired in 2008 after 37 years of dedicated service. Barry's love of music began as early as junior high school when he played cornet. He went on to collect vinyl records and especially loved the Blues. In 1978, he and Connie got divorced but remained close and committed to their daughter Elizabeth. He later married Terry Lopshire and together they had daughter, Abbey. He loved the Beatles so much he named his younger daughter after the album Abbey Road. He and Terry also divorced but remained the closest of friends with daily phone calls. Barry loved cars. He enjoyed working on them and was an expert mechanic. He loved going to races, especially watching drag and sports car racing. He will be remembered for his generosity and selflessness, his positive outlook on life and kind spirit. He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Seabourn West and her husband Cory, Abbey Lynn Chapman and her husband Dutch; granddaughter, Maya Dean; the mothers of his daughters, Connie Seabourn and Terry Lopshire; his brother, Jaime Miller and his wife Jean; nephews, Scott and Steve Miller; uncle, Donald Carpenter and his wife Norma, their children, Lisa Otting and Eric Carpenter; aunt, Jane Lapriore and her daughter, Sarah Bigl as well as numerous friends. Barry was preceded in death by his parents and uncle, Gerald Lapriore. Barry's life will be celebrated 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Smith & Kernke 23rd Street Chapel.
