Beatrice Mary "Polly" Keenan, 76, was born in Oklahoma City on April 7, 1937 to James E. and Isabelle C. Keenan and passed away in Oklahoma City on October 29, 2013. She attended John Carroll Catholic School, Catholic High School (now Bishop McGuinness) and Mount St. Scholastica in Kansas. Polly worked at the University of Oklahoma Medical School and was an RN, later working as a parish nurse at St. Eugene. She also worked in real estate, at blood drives, in hospice, often visiting the elderly and dying, as well as traveling to Canada to work at an Indian reservation and to Romania for work at an orphanage for babies. Polly enjoyed spending time with her nephews, snow skiing in Colorado and traveling extensively to Europe, particularly Ireland. She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her brother, John H. Keenan, Sr. and wife, Marna, nephews, John H. Jr. and wife, Karen, James W. and wife, Stephanie, Joseph P. and husband, Jayzen, Jeremy Q. and wife, Kathy as well as eight great nieces and nephews. An Evening Prayer Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2013 at Smith and Kernke Chapel and A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at St. Eugene Catholic Church with burial to follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to John Keenan, Sr. to be sent to a charity of his choice.
