Bernard Montgomery 'Monty' Maughan

Bernard Montgomery (Monty) Maughan, 67, of Oklahoma City, OK, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 as the result of a tragic cycling accident. Born in Zimbabwe, Monty also lived in the UK & Australia before moving to the US and becoming a citizen. Monty was a man of faith, principles and passion. He was an avid cyclist and a private pilot; and a much loved friend, father and grandfather. Monty is survived by his children Bernard, Lorrin and Carl, and his two sisters Colleen and Doreen. An evening prayer service for Monty will be at 6 pm on Monday in the chapel at Smith & Kernke Funeral Directors. A memorial Mass will be at 9.30 am on Tuesday, at Christ The King Catholic Church (8005 Dorset Dr., Oklahoma City)
