Betty Fay Colvin was born in Wewoka, OK, on August 25th, 1942. Betty was a deeply committed Christian. After graduating from Oklahoma City's Northwest Classen High School in 1960, Betty began a 36-year career with DHS and retired in 2002. Throughout her life she was an active, spirited member of Memorial Christian Church and was known as a tremendously generous and giving person. Betty had a deep appreciation for the arts. She was an avid reader and writer, acquiring a collection of Native American artwork over the years. Betty passed December 29th, 2013, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's disease. She was preceded in death by her parents Glen and Marjory Taylor and her first husband Gene Camp. She is survived by her daughter; Jeannie Camp, husband; Clay Colvin, sister; Mary Miller and many other family members. Visitation will be held from 2p.m. to 5p.m. Friday, January 3rd, at Smith and Kernke Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 4th, at Smith & Kernke Chapel in Oklahoma City. May God rest her soul.
