Betty Eileen Kania, born on July 18, 1927, in Chicago, IL, peacefully passed away on June 18, 2024, in Oklahoma City. She was a dedicated homemaker who lovingly cared for her children.
Betty met and married the love of her life Edward Alexander Kania. In 1983 Betty and Ed moved to Rogers, AR from Downers Grove, IL. After Ed's passing Betty moved to Oklahoma City in 2018.
Betty was a remarkable woman who found joy in various interests. She delighted in reading, golfing, traveling, playing cards with her friends, painting, cooking delicious meals, and most of all, taking care of others. Her nurturing spirit and kindness touched the lives of many.
Betty is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Edward Alexander Kania, and her son Mark Kania. She is survived by her five sons: Tom Kania and wife Judy of Earlsboro, OK; Bob Kania and wife Sue of Oak Brook, IL; Bill Kania and wife Denise of Littleton, CO; Steve Kania and wife Kerri of Mcloud, OK; and John Kania and wife Tracy of Plainfield, IL.
In addition to her sons and their spouses, Betty leaves behind a legacy through her ten grandchildren: Erin Shea Harrison and husband David; Carrie Dubbell and husband Eric; Nicki Loftis and husband Pete; Rachael Marten and husband Kevin; Ryan Kania and wife Jessica; Tarra French and husband Nick; Matt Kania; Jeff Kania; Brennan Kania; and Tegan Kania. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren who brought immense joy into her life.
Betty Eileen Kania will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her nurturing nature, and the impact she had on all those around her. Her legacy of compassion and care will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
