Bebbles passed away peacefully on Friday, September 20th, 2013, surrounded by her three children. Bebbles was born on September 12, 1926 in Okemah, Oklahoma, to Bertha Cagle Catlett and Stanley Bouleware Catlett. Her paternal grandparents were pioneers in Oklahoma territory. Her sisters, her brother and she spent many happy summers at the plantation of their maternal grandmother, Mama Shug, in Coushatta, Louisiana, and to to this day, tell ghost stories about their Dead Aunt Sudie, who haunted the plantation.
In 1933, Bebbles moved to Oklahoma City with her family. She graduated from Classen High School and attended Lindenwood Womens College in St. Louis, Missouri. Bebbles graduated from University of Oklahoma with a degree in business administration where she pledged Delta Delta Delta sorority.
In 1958, she married Harry L. Endicott, who died in 1994. Harry and Bebbles traveled to Europe, Hawaii, and the Carribean and she often assisted Harry in the business at Endicott Appliance Company. Together they had three children: Lee, Lane, and Hayley.
Bebbles loved going to the cabin at Lake Fort Gibson with the family, and even into her later years went on many sunset cocktail cruises. She enjoyed visiting with her Louisiana cousins for family reunions in New Orleans, and her southern roots contributed to her being one of the most amazing southern cooks to walk the planet. She had a heartwarming laugh and a great sense of humor and was at her best when she was telling stories with the family. She was the only person who ever saw a German Shepherd drive a car. Bebbles never had a harsh word to say about anyone.
She cherished her friendships, and some of her best friendships began in her college days, where she was a founding member of the "Bridge Club", whose members have met regularly for 65 years and continue to meet biweekly. She was an avid mahjong player and a crossword puzzle wizard. She was a long-time member of Crown Heights United Methodist Church.
Bebbles is survived by her three children: daughter Hayley, son Lee and wife Beverly, and son Lane and wife Celeste, grandchildren Lucy, Harry, Meg, Chris and Sam. She is also survived by her sisters Cocabell Zahn, Rachel Holmes and Brother Jack Catlett and wife Joanie, many nieces and nephews, and her beloved dogs Ida Clare and Hershel.
We love you and miss you. May you rest in peace, and rise in glory. In lieu of flowers and if desired, memorials may be made to Central Oklahoma Humane Society, 7500 N Western, Oklahoma City, Ok 73116 or a charity of your choice.
