Bill Lawrence Lehman

Bill Lawrence Lehman, age 90, of Oklahoma City, passed away May 13, 2014. He was born September 20, 1923 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to William Lawrence and Julia (Peyinghaus) Lehman. Bill Proudly served our country during WWII in the United States Navy as a Gunner's Mate 3rd Class on the USS Missouri. He married Helen Prock on March 26, 1949. They started their married life together in Muskogee, OK and also lived in Missouri and Kansas before moving to Oklahoma City in 1996. With Southwestern Bell, Bill advanced from a Lineman to District Staff Manager before his retirement. He was a skilled craftsman in woodworking and also enjoyed raising cattle. He is survived by his wife, Helen Lehman; son, John Lehman; daughter, Annie Nashert and her husband Joe; three grandchildren, Jordan Nashert, Sam Lehman and wife Diana and Joshua Lehman. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nell Bare; sister, Julia Hunter; and a son, Larry L. Lehman. Memorial Services to honor Bill will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Smith & Kernke North May Chapel. The family will have a private Inurnment committal service at Fort Gibson National Cemetery.
