Billie Merle Bean Ferguson was born June 19, 1923 to George Dewey Bean and Alta Mae Meadows Bean in Wichita Falls, TX. She was a loving big sister to brother Don Bean. Billie graduated from Wichita Falls High School and after junior college she was working as an oil company secretary when she met the love of her life, Chet Ferguson, who was a soldier at Shepard Field. They married May 16, 1942. The couple moved to Oklahoma City in 1955, along with their son, Rodney and became active in business and in the community. Billie stayed busy being a mom to Rodney, helping run the family business, Ferguson's Paint and Decorating and square dancing as well as being involved at NW Christian Church and Kiwanis work alongside Chet. Faith, family and friends were central in Billie's life. She had a true servant's heart and a love for all she met, especially all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved traveling and adventures with friends and extended family. Billie was preceded in death by her parents and her brother. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Chet Ferguson and son Rodney and wife Rebecca of OKC, grandchildren Kimberly Weaver and husband Mitch of Bristow, Matt Ferguson and fiancée Tiffany Banther of Brooken and Sean Ferguson of OKC. She also had three great grandchildren, Tyler Weaver and wife Nikole and Joel Weaver of Bristow and Landyn Ferguson of Brooken and great-great grandchildren Landon and Blake Tyler of Bristow. In lieu of flowers gifts can be made to the Adams Fund at Baptist Village, 9700 Mashburn Blvd., OKC 73112.
