Billy S. 'Bill S. Brown' Brown

Bill was born on September 29, 1941 in Shawnee, Okla. the son of David and Mildred Brown and passed away on January 2, 2014 in Oklahoma City. He attended Shawnee High School and Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee. Bill retired from Oklahoma Gas & Electric Corporation after working as a public relations manager for 35 years. He also retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the 172nd support group in the U.S. Army reserves after serving for over 37 years. Bill is survived by two daughters, Vikki Beier (Randy) of Perry; Kristy Slater (Scott) of OKC; one grandson, Tyer Fothergill of OKC; one granddaughter, Taylor Fothergill of OKC; a sister, Cathy Kroeling of Shawnee; and two brothers, Richard and Robert Brown of Shawnee. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; Carol Ann Owens; a brother; Dave Brown and a sister, Betty Gober. Visitation will be Monday with the family present from 4pm to 6pm. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 7th at Smith & Kernke Chapel. Burial will be at 2:30 pm on Tuesday, January 7th at South Heights Cemetery, Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
