Adored husband, father, and friend, Robert Rose affectionately known as Bob, was welcomed to heaven on July 27, 2024. Preceded by his parents, Lois and Eddie Rose, his legacy is carried on by is loving wife Kathy, sons Gary and Ed, stepsons Brad and Randy, his brother Bill and sister-in-law Cathy, grandchildren Mika and Lauren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends and colleagues. Born in West Texas, Bob graduated high school at 16 years old and attended Texas Tech University majoring in accounting. Always the brilliant businessman and philanthropist, he had an impressive professional career with Arthur Andersen in Houston, TX, as well as Salt lake City, UT and Oklahoma City, OK, where he served as managing partner. His life was one of active engagement with the world around him. He loved all sports, especially baseball and golf, and fondly referred to his golf group buddies as "The Bandits." After retirement, he found major pleasure in owning and racing horses. He said, "there was no better feeling than standing in the winner's circle after winning a race." Bob had friendships that lasted his whole life. His humor, warmth, wisdom, and the joy he brought to every gathering will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. "Peace is a journey of a thousand miles and it must be taken one step at a time."
