Bobbye Dean (Rushing) Turnbo was born March 22, 1936 to Oliver and Johnnye Rushing in Shawnee, OK. She attended Shawnee High School Class of '53 and OCU. She worked for Southwestern Bell Co. in Shawnee, OK; Stillwater, OK and Fort Wayne, IN. Bobbye married Nile Neeley and had two sons, Christopher E. Neeley and Timothy D. Neeley, all preceding her in death. She worked for the Oklahoma Health Systems Agency prior to marrying Nathan E. Turnbo in 1983 who made her life complete and sustained her through many difficult years. Bobbye was blessed with her step-children, Johnathan Turnbo, Tulsa, OK, Angie and Robert Morris, Broken Arrow, OK, Fawn and Larry Lovecchio, Ignatio, CO; grandchildren, Justin Morris, Broken Arrow, OK, Ashley and Kellen Hansen and great-granddaughter, Abbey Hansen, Lebanon, NH. In later years, Nathan and Bobbye traveled extensively and enjoyed dancing. They belonged to Chapel Hill United Methodist Church where they met and married. They had many friends in Trinity Class that they enjoyed over the years. Bobbye spent her time volunteering. She served as president of Mercy Volunteers in 1988. They belonged to Reveler's Dance Club and were original members of both Galardia and Quail Creek Country Clubs. In 2012 Bobbye lost the love of her life, Nathan. She spent her late years staying active as a member of Lighthouse Fitness Center where she had many dear friends. She also spent many hours painting. Private family services will be held. Bobbye will be inurned with her beloved Nathan at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City.
