Bobbye June (Tracey) Van Horn, 80, Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home, October 1, 2021, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's. She was born July 26,1941 in Oklahoma City. The daughter of Robert T. and Kathleen June Tracey.Bobbye graduated from Bishop McGuiness High School class of 1959. Following graduation, she attended the University of Oklahoma and received a bachelor's degree in interior design. Bobbye married Brooke Van Horn whom she met while attending high school. Classmates often referred to them as" Barbie and Ken." They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in August.Bobbye's smile was contagious. She never met a stranger and could work a room as well or better than most politicians or dignitary. She loved her precious Wolfhounds, and numerous cats, dogs, and other animals she cared for throughout her life. She held a Real Estate License and became a Broker. Bobbye loved to knit, attend Book Club, and play Mahjong She could be found most Saturdays in the fall in front of the television watching her Sooners. Bobbye was a loyal member of the Mercedes Benz Club of Central Oklahoma, where she served with pride holding the offices of President, Secretary, Treasurer and Social Chairperson. Bobbye attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edmond.In addition to her parents Bobbye was proceeded in death by her infant brother Robert Tracey Jr., granddaughter Emily Van Horn, and nephew Justin Shepard.Surviving in addition to her husband Brooke Van Horn, is her son Todd Van Horn, his wife Lynda Van Horn of Oklahoma City, daughters Tracey Fantasia and her husband Ben Fantasia of Guthrie, and Stephanie Van Horn and her husband Tommy Crownover of Oklahoma City. Three grandchildren, Elizabeth Kerr, and her husband Keith Kerr, Hannah Van Horn and Angelina Fantasia. Three great grandchildren, Esme` Kerr, Shelby Gardner, and Karsyn Johnson. Two Sisters Pam Siemers and her husband Steve Siemers of Ochelata, OK., Kelly Tracey and her daughter Sybil of Scottsdale, Arizona.The family would like to thank Companion Hospice and her personal care givers, daughters Stephanie and Tracey, and Julie Deighton for providing Bobbye with such loving compassionate care.A celebration of life will be Sunday, October 24, from 2pm-5pm at Smith & Kernke,14624 N May Ave, Oklahoma City, OK.
