Bohn E. Engell died December 4, 2013 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at 89 years of age following a long struggle with Alzheimer's Disease. He was born in St. Louis Park, Minnesota on January 06, 1924 to Rueben Cornelius Engell and Maime Elida Bjorke (Birch) Engell both of whom preceded him in death. He was an only child. Bohn was educated at the University of Minnesota where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry. He utilized his education first as a chemist and transitioned to Quality Assurance Manager for Wilson Certified Foods where he was employed throughout his career. His military service was spent in the Army Horse Cavalry during WWII. Bohn is survived by Beverly D. Bambusch Engell, his wife of nearly 67 years; three children and their spouses - Karen Marie Engell, Julie Anne Engell (Curtis Spitler), Martin Andrew Engell (Anita Cox Kimball Engell); three grandchildren and their spouses – Anne Marrie Engell Campbell (Michael Campbell), Andrew Bohn Engell (Naomi Loring), and Mary Catherine Engell. Bohn's great-grandchildren include: Jocelyn and Haley Campbell as well as Jasmin and Sebastian Loring. Bohn enjoyed travel and service to his community. He combined both by serving as a consultant for SCORE in Oklahoma City and traveling to posts oversees through the International Executive Service Core (IESC) to provide guidance to companies with product quality issues. Services are planned for Tuesday December 10, 2013 at 2 PM at the Mayflower Congregational Church at 3901 NW 63rd Street in Oklahoma City officiated by Dr. Robin Meyers. Interment will be postponed to a later date in Minneapolis, MN. We will all miss his caring supervision, his sense of adventure, and his dry wit. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mayflower Congregational Church, Crossroads Hospice, and/or Prairie Winds Alzheimer's Special Care Center.
