Brad Culver

Bradley D. Culver, 45, of Edmond, Oklahoma passed away May 11th, 2011. Brad was born October 30th, 1965 in Wichita, Kansas to Bob and Nancy Culver. Brad attended elementary school in Clearwater, Kansas and then moved to Oklahoma City and attended Hefner Junior High. He graduated from Putnam City North in 1984 and went on to attend the University of Oklahoma where he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. He completed his Bachelor's Degree at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond. Brad began his professional career working in the family business of vocational education at the Sooner College. He then moved into the field of pharmaceutical sales and was most recently employed with Teva Pharmacetical Industries. Brad was an avid sports fan and his love of sports began early in life. In high school he enjoyed playing football, basketball, and baseball. After his own playing days were over, he still enjoyed the thrill of the game as an avid, passionate fan of the Oklahoma Sooners and the Oklahoma City Thunder. Brad also found joy in exploring the Culinary Arts. He loved blessing his friends and family through his gift of cooking and entertaining. Brad is survived by his wife of 19 years, Lauri and daughters Lexi and Maci; his parents Bob and Nancy Culver; sister and her husband, JD and Kelli Kliewer and their children Tanner and Alli; grandmother Helen Culver and his many close friends and extended family. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Myron and Betty Grigsby, Pete Culver, and Aunt Pat Koeppen. Brad lived a life of thoughtful and generous consideration for his friends and family. He was a fun loving, kind man who always looked for ways to bring joy to others. Brad's closest friends refer to him as the glue that keeps them together. He was a fiercely loyal and loving man. His girls and their friends remember Brad as the perfect "girl dad." Brad could shop with the best of them and God clearly knew what he was doing surrounding Brad with his girls: Lauri, Lexi, and Maci. Arrangements have been made by Smith and Kernke Funeral Home. The Memorial Service will be held Monday, May 16th at 2:00 pm at The Crossings Community Church 14600 North Portland Oklahoma City, OK 73134. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bank of Oklahoma scholarship fund for his children.
