Brooke Allison Van Horn, 83, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on January 21, 2025, after a short battle with cancer. Brooke was born August 25,1941, in Oklahoma City. The son of Lawrence and Doretha Van Horn.
Brooke graduated from Bishop McGuinness High School class of 1959. Following graduation, he attended the University of Oklahoma where he obtained his Doctor of Pharmacy and enjoyed practicing for the next fifty plus years as the proud owner of T.V. Discount Drug located in Edmond Oklahoma.
Brooke married Bobbye Tracey, his high school sweetheart, and celebrated sixty years together, having three children.
Brooke was a Porsche enthusiast and skilled driver. He enjoyed racing his Porsche traveling to many different tracks, a few of his favorites where Road America, Texas Motor Speedway, Hallett Racing and COTA. He was well respected as a driver at the tracks and a Certified Driver Education Instructor. When he was not at the track or work, Brooke was a member of several organizations to include the Porsche Club of America, Mercedes Benz Club of Central Oklahoma and Men’s Dinner Club. He enjoyed watching many sports, OU basketball and football, NFL, Formula One Racing and OKC Thunder. Brooke attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edmond.
In addition to his parents and wife Bobbye, Brooke was predeceased by his granddaughter Emily Van Horn.
Surviving are his son Todd Van Horn and his wife Lynda of Oklahoma City, daughters, Tracey Fantasia and her husband Ben of Guthrie and Stephanie Van Horn and her husband Tommy Crownover of Oklahoma City; three grand-children, Elizabeth Kerr and her husband Keith, Hannah Van Horn and Angelina Fantasia and husband, Brad of Elizabeth, Colorado; five great grandchildren, Esme’, Remy and Arlo Kerr, Shelby Gardner, and Karsyn Johnson; two brothers, Grayson Van Horn and his wife Junia Ann of Edmond, Reece Van Horn and his wife Jeanne Anne of Oklahoma City, and many nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Julie Deighton of Edmond for loving our father, making him happy and always being by his side.
The family would like to especially thank Jillian and Amy from Companion Health for providing our father with such loving and compassionate care.
