Cameron L. Kerran, 88, died December 20, 2012 in Oklahoma City. He was born April 30, 1924 in Topeka, KS to Frank and Minnie Kerran. Cameron lived in Lone Wolf, OK with his parents who owned a general store and filling station. He delivered groceries to the surrounding area while in high school. He served in the Army Air Corp from 1942 until 1945 and was stationed in China, Burma and Inda during WWII. Cameron graduated with honors from the University of Oklahoma in 1949 with a BS in Engineering. He married Joanne P. Kerran on December 30, 1945 and they were married for 60 years until her passing. Cameron was owner of Double Eagle Refining Company and Double Eagle Lubricants, Inc. until his retirement in 1989. He was a Council member of First Lutheran Church, as well as a director of First Security Bank & Trust Company. He is preceded in death by his wife and parents plus a grandchild, Matthew Charles. Cameron is survived by his son Mike and his wife Linda; daughter Phyllis Kerran and her husband, Sam Stricker; daughter Janis Kerran; grandsons Travis Kerran, Tyler Kerran and wife, Shawna; granddaughters Emily and Sarah Kerran with future grandson-in-law, Jarret Bolfer; great granddaughter, Isabelle; brother, Don Kerran and wife Mary; brother-in-law, Bob Osmond and one niece and four nephews. Memorials gifts may be made to First Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at First Lutheran Church, 1300 N. Robinson. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery. Reception will follow interment at Smith and Kernke Funeral Home, 14624 N. May Ave.
