Carol Ann (Hullum) Beavers passed peacefully from this Earth on August 16, 2018. She was born, March 26, 1950 in Oklahoma City to Al and Dorothy Hullum, and was the third of their five children. Carol graduated from Shawnee High School in 1968, and attended college before marrying her husband Gene, with whom she celebrated 45 years of marriage this year. Together, they formed and operated two successful businesses, The Academy of Hair Design and Roffler of Oklahoma (later, Hair Tech Systems and Products). Then, in the early 1990's, she went on to work for the City of Oklahoma City, retiring in 2013. Carol was an avid gardener, enjoyed art and loved spending time with family and close friends. Carol was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Jan Ward. She is survived by her husband, Gene; stepdaughter Trina Kniffen and her husband Kevin; stepdaughter Pam Paddock and her husband Mike; stepdaughter Kim Coker; stepson Gary Beavers, brother Lewis Hullum and his wife Jann; brother Al Hullum and his wife Kathy; sister Debbie DeGraffenreid and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation. A Celebration of Life Service for Carol will be held on Saturday, September 8th from 6-8pm at the Shawnee Elks Lodge (13500 Acme Rd., Shawnee, OK 74804).
