Carol Jeane Man

Carol Jeane (Stammer) Man, 72, of Oklahoma City, passed away at Mercy Hospital on Friday, May 18th, 2018. Carol died on the same day as her dear son Spencer Barnett Man 27 years ago. Carol was born January 7, 1946 to the late Eloise and William Stammer. Carol was a graduate of Northwest Classen High School in 1964 and graduated from Christian Women's College of Columbia, Missouri, and then attended The University of Oklahoma where she met the love of her life, Mike Man. Carol was a 4th generation member of the Methodist church and recently became an active member of Life Church which greatly enriched her relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Carol had accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior many years ago and lived her life as a faithful servant of the Lord. Carol treasured her women's Bible study and growing with all her faithful sisters in Christ. Carol is survived by Mike Man, her faithful and loving husband of 50 years; her two loving sons, Chris Man of Washington, D.C and Derek Man of OKC. She was especially blessed by her 6 grandchildren: Christine, Carter, Jack, Peyton, Caela, and Gracie. Carol had one sister, Sally Straehla. She was preceded in death by her son Spencer. Carol was an avid reader, enjoyed going to movies with Mike, and loved to travel. She enjoyed anytime she could nurture her grandchildren and caring for others was her avocation. It was not surprising if she was dropping a meal off, running errands for others, getting gifts, etc. She was a true care-giver and extremely generous. She could not tolerate the thought of children not having plenty of Christmas presents to enjoy and gladly supported Christmas Connection every year. A celebration of Carol's life will be held Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 11:00 am at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, 2717 W. Hefner Rd. OKC.
