Carol passed away suddenly November 14, 2013 at her Oklahoma City home. Born in Tulsa on July 19th 1961 to Francis Eugene and Katherine Ray, (deceased) Carol Jeanne Ray was the 7th of 10 children. She lived in Tulsa till 1973 when the family moved to Edmond, and with the exception of a couple of years when the family relocated to Seguin, Texas, remained in Edmond until her marriage to Kelly Killgore in 1981.
A graduate of Edmond Memorial and the University of Central Oklahoma, she used her degree to pursue a Career in Advertising. A fixture in the Oklahoma City Media Market, Carol held media buyer and planner positions with several firms in the market before eventually accepting a position as a Media consultant at Cox Media.
Loved by all who knew her, she was loyal, true, witty, and quick to laugh. She loved all animals, especially dogs. She enjoyed the outdoors, often taking long walks and watching bald eagles at her Missouri cabin. She enjoyed playing bingo with her friends, and trips to almost anywhere, as she and her husband traveled both cheap and chic on everything from ski-trips, to cruises, to Hiking and fishing trips, way too many, boat adventures, and somehow still had time to faithfully follow Oklahoma State Athletics.
She will be missed but never forgotten by her loving husband of 32 years, Kelly. Her father, Gene Ray of OKC. Her sisters, Elisabeth Brandes of Bixby, Sarah Niromand of Boise , Mary Moffett of Tulsa, Laurie Ray of Kansas City, Margaret Hughes of Noble, Brothers Tim of NYC, Kelley of Edmond, Peter of Edmond, Patrick of College Station, 11 nieces, 7 nephews, too many friends to count, and maybe most of all by her Best friend and constant companion, ReRun .
