Carolyn Ann Kelly, age 71, of Oklahoma City, passed away May 18, 2015. She was born September 25, 1943 to Edd and Ruby (Sholar) Finklea in Marshall, Texas. Carolyn moved to Oklahoma in the late 1960's after an unfortunate shooting of a white tailed deer on a Federal Game Reserve. She was a stay at home mom until 1984 when she started working at United Design Corporation. After retirement, she spent her time taking care of her granddaughter and her family and friends. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, John Kelly and her parents. She is survived by her son, William Roper and his wife Traci; granddaughter, Taylor Roper; daughter, Denise Roper; adopted daughter, Katheryn Conley Branda; two granddogs, Sophie and Lucy; brother, Bob Finklea and his wife, Gerri; sister, Lynda Weaver and her husband, Gene. Services to celebrate Carolyn will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 23, 2015 at the Smith & Kernke N. May Chapel.
