Carolyn Ruth Vaeth

Carolyn Ruth Vaeth was born on September 7, 1928 in Stratford, OK, to William Carl and Virgie Frances Auten. Carol went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 22, 2014. She was a devoted and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Carol was married to Felix Vaeth, the love of her life, for 56 years. Now she is reunited with him in Heaven. Carol had a love for God's creation. Being an early riser, she never missed a sunrise or beautiful sunset. She was the youngest of five siblings who challenged her competitive nature – it was evident in her championship bowling, par golf and track star ability. Carol, known by her grandchildren as "Meme", cherished everything her children and grandchildren did. "Meme" was a permanent fixture at every sporting event, recital, school program or anything they participated in. Carol has left a legacy to be proud of. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by son, Randy Vaeth and wife Agatha; son Rodney Vaeth and wife Sharry; daughter, Diane Liddell and husband Mike; daughter, Michelle Kaminsky and husband Barney; seven grandchildren, Phillip Cheng and wife Lisa, David Sun and wife Janine, Shannon Gurney and husband Josh, Layne Travis and husband Reese, Callie Moore and husband Hunter, Bailey Lamb and husband Kevin, and Carly Vaeth; and 13 great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Smith & Kernke May Chapel. For whoever finds God finds life and receives favor from the Lord. Proverbs 8:35
