Catherine (Catty) Louise 'Catherine (Catty) Wolf K Wolf Kirk

Catherine "Catty" Louise Cordell Wolf Kirk, born November 13, 1926, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on December 23, 2010. Preceding her in death is husband of 35 years, John E. Wolf, Jr. She is survived by her five children; Gretchen Horde, Karen Heath, John E. Wolf, III, wife, Ramona; Catherine Giles, husband, Larry; and favorite daughter, Margaret Adams, husband, Arnold. Known as "Grandma Dear", she leaves behind nine grandchildren; Kelli Henthorn, husband, Kris; Jodi Trotter, husband, Nick; Justin Wolf, wife, Sara; Blake Wolf, Catherine Horde, Mary Kate Heath, Christopher Horde, Amy Adams, Andrew Adams and two great-grandchildren, Lucas Trotter and Kendall Henthorn. As a fourth generation Okie, she was a member of the Central High School class of 1945 Black Skirts, a charter member of Silk Stockings Philanthropy, Catholic Mothers and a 28-year Docent at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. Catty attended OSU, joined Delta Zeta Sorority and in 1947 married her high school sweetheart, John Wolf who passed away in 1983. In 1999 she married Bill Kirk who passed away in 2001. Her hobbies included playing cards, and Tlaquepaque (To Enjoy Life) Traveling Friends. As a juried artist, her art was displayed in the original Festival of the Arts, Oklahoma City, OK. Although she claimed to be tone deaf, all the grandchildren can sing "The Manners Song". Teaching her children and grandchildren the reality and practicalities of life, she enabled them all with the tools to succeed with faith, humor and grace. Catty was well known for her love of all people, hospitality, wit and good ole' horse sense. She had 84 years of a long and wonderful life. She will be greatly missed by everyone whose life she touched. Catty-isms: Eat your crust. Always take a jacket. Bet you a quarter! Hells Bells Catootin! Wear your galoshes. Colder than Billy Hell. It's a glorious day! In grade school, a teacher asked Catty what she wanted to be when she grew up. Catty asked, "What are you when you shop and play cards all day?" The teacher asked, "You mean a social butterfly?" "Yes." Catty replied with enthusiasm, "I want to be a social butterfly!" And that she was. We love you dearly.
