Elma Catherine "Cathie" Shaw Harris passed away peacefully in her home on November 30, 2021. Cathie was born to Elma and Odell Shaw in Oklahoma City on Dec. 24, 1943 and grew up in Oklahoma City, attended John Carroll Catholic school and graduated from Bishop McGuiness High School in 1961. In 1965 Cathie married the love of her life, Phil Harris and they had 2 children together. The early days of their marriage were spent in Dallas, Houston, Shreveport, Enid (13 years) and they have been in Oklahoma City since 1981.Despite struggling the past couple of years with dementia, her favorite thing was to lavish attention on her 7 grandchildren who brought her great joy and laughter. Cathie treasured her deep long-lasting friendships with so many people including her classmates from Bishop McGuiness High School, Enid friends, the "Bunko Babes", Dinner Club and the Parakletos Sunday School Class. Cathie was loved by all who knew her, she brought joy, light and laughter to everyone and everything she touched. Her passing has left a vacancy in many hearts.Cathie is survived by her husband of 56 years, Phil; son Randy of Oklahoma City; daughter Carrie and her husband Jeff Lee of Centreville, VA; her grandchildren, Joshua, Kaleb, Phillip Kirk "PK", Luke Harris and Jack, Cate and Henry Lee. By her sisters, Judy Cowden of Guthrie and Patty Leonard of Edmond; sisters-in-law, Margaret Shaw of Oklahoma City and Lynda (Ronnie) McDaniel of Ft. Smith, AR.
