Chad was born on August 4, 1935 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Chad Sr. and Verona (Englund) Bixler. He passed away July 29th at his home after an extended illness with Leukemia. He graduated from University of Central Oklahoma. Chad served in the United States Air Force. He retired from Dolese Bros. Company after 39 years as a Data Processing Manager. He was a licensed pilot and loved flying. Chad married the love of his life, Phyllis on May 14, 1960. He is survived by his wife; one son, Chad Bixler III and his wife Karen of Redington Beach, Florida; one daughter, Sheila Bixler of Edmond and her son Jordan (Chad's only grandson). He is also survived by two sister; Elizabeth Cavanagh and her husband Tom of Orlando, Florida; Carole A. Tarner and her husband Jack Jr. of Owasso; a brother, John P. Bixler of Edmond and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Chad's one and only grandson Jordan W. Bixler brought much joy to his Pappa's life. They cherished many special times together. Chad was an avid reader, followed politics and enjoyed crossword puzzles. Chad especially cherished spending time with his family and friends and touched the heart of all the know him.
