Charles Davis 'Chuck' Morrison, 82 passed away on March 14, 2023. He was born October 14, 1940 in Oklahoma City to Charlotte Anne and William P. Morrison, Jr. He was a graduate of Casady School, Princeton University and did graduate work at the University of California at Berkeley. Except for military service, undergraduate and graduate studies, he was a lifelong resident of Oklahoma City while also maintaining a second home on Pensacola Beach, FL. A Waterford Condominium homeowner, Chuck served on the Waterford Homeowner's Association Board of Directors for six years, five of which were as president.His business career included management positions in banking, transportation and oil and gas. In banking he had been an officer with the First National Bank of Oklahoma City and later Chairman of Farmers and Merchants of Eufaula and American National of Midwest City. In transportation, Chuck was one of the founders and was Chairman of Executive Courier Service which at its zenith had offices in many cities in the Southwest. In oil and gas production, Chuck was Chief Executive Officer of C. D. Morrison Resources, LLC and Georgetown Resources as well as managing partner of several partnerships including Wichita Production Partners, Morrison Law Oil Company, and Davon Drilling Company.His Military career began on 18 August 1963. After active-duty service, Chuck remained in the Reserve and retired as a Navy Captain in 1996 after more than 33 years continuous Active Duty and Reserve service. During that period, he served as Commanding Officer of six different Naval Reserve units including two years as the Reserve Intelligence Area Commander headquartered at Naval Air Station, Memphis, TN. In addition, following the first Gulf war, he was asked to command a Navy Fleet Orientation national school for newly commissioned Ensigns and continued in that post for three years until stepping down as his retirement date approached. Joining All Souls Episcopal Church in 1950, Chuck was confirmed in 1952, and was thereafter a lifelong member the parish. He was a member of many organizations including Colonial Club at Princeton University, the Oklahoma City, Pensacola and Kimball Museums of Art, the Association of U. S. Navy, the Old Salts Association, the Navy League of the United States, the Men's Book Club of Oklahoma City, had served as president of the Mental Health Association of Oklahoma County and he had been a 50+ year member of the Princeton Club of New York prior to its dissolution during the Covid 19 lockdown. Chuck was predeceased by a sister, Gloria Grace Morrison. He is survived by his wife, Beth, of 36 years. Surviving family include his daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Jim Cornette of Belton, TX and their children Charlotte and fiancé Spence Jones, Jack and Ben and his daughter, Carey Robertson of Dallas, TX and her children Graham and Audrey. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a commensurate donation to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, All Souls Church, or a charity of your choosing. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday March 18, 2023, at All Souls' Episcopal Church. Interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
