Charles William Simon

Charles William Simon, Jr., 81 years old of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, June 19th, 2019 in his sleep in in the comfort of his home.Charles was born November 2nd, 1938. He spent most of his childhood in Yuma, Arizona and in the San Joanquin Valley of California. Charles is a gentle, loving man. He served in the US Army. He was in the medical unit serving at Fort Ord in California.As an adult, Charles was the school psychologist for the Yukon Public School District. Charles interests include writing, photography and rescuing Great Danes.His wife, Retha, preceded him in death. He is survived by his brother, Ed Simon, and his three step children, Kristin Taylor, Lisa Griggs and Michael Irons. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Angela Clark, Mirabai Hull and Eli Hull.A short graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 26th, 2019 followed by a Celebration of Life and lunch at the Channing Unitarian Universalist Church, 2800 West 15th Street, Edmond, Oklahoma 73083-2382.
