Charline Lindsay, 87, was born in Healdton, OK, on July 23, 1926. She passed away December 15, 2013, in Oklahoma City. She was a long time resident of the Village and a member, elder and deacon of the Village Christian Church. Charline was an avid bridge, bunco and mahjong player. She enjoyed being a member of book, garden clubs and a tireless participant in church activities, including prayer group. Charline was married for 50 years to Calvin Lindsay who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death are her parents; Hazel and Harry Piatt, sisters, Kathleen Turner and Anita Johnson and grandson, Todd Barber. She is survived by her three children; Carla Barber and husband Mike, Glen Lindsay and wife Brenda, Cindy Harper and partner Jerry McCollom; grandchildren, Kris Brown and wife Ariana, Brian Barber and wife Danielle, Alyssa Colby and husband Ricky; great-grandchildren, Bailey and Mia Brown, Jack Barber and Autumn Colby; good friends Steve and Sandy Johnson and cousin Linda Fountain. She will be greatly missed by her family and numerous friends. Visitation will be held from 8 am to 6 pm Wednesday, December 17, 2013, at Smith and Kernke Funeral Home. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 19, 2013, at the Village Christian Church, Britton Road and Ridgeview Drive in Oklahoma City.
