Chatham James Wheat

Chatham Wheat was born to Willis and Judy Wheat on October 9, 1957. He lived in Oklahoma City his entire life. He lost his battle with cancer on September 4, 2010 at the age of 52. Chat was a graduate of Bishop McGuiness High School. He was owner and operator of the roofing and remodeling company, The Wood Wizards, for over 30 years. He married Bobbi LaFevers of Tishomingo, Oklahoma in 1980 and Dayna Wheat in 1988. Chat and Dayna had a daughter, Ashley Wheat, on December 13, 1991. Chat had a very kind heart and was a master story teller. He loved the trips to Eureka Springs Arkansas where Ashley and he enjoyed many vacation trips. He was a very loving father that enjoyed sharing time with his daughter and friends. He will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his x-wife, Dayna Wheat and their daughter, Ashley Wheat of the home, brother and sister in law Bill and Diane Wheat, step mother Libby Wheat, niece and nephew Summer and Hunter Wheat and a host of friends and family. He was preceded in death by his father and mother Willis J. Wheat and Judy Maguire Wheat. There will be a private memorial service October 9, 2010 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. The family requests in lieu of flowers, please make donation to the charity of your choice.
