Christopher Michael Hampton was born October 2, 1990, in Oklahoma City. He passed away November 16, 2017, in Houston, TX. Christopher was a kind and gentle person that believed in helping anyone in need. He volunteered for the American Red Cross and Special Care. Christopher loved people, he enjoyed being with friends and family. He adored his Grandmother and spent so much time with her, taking her to eat, playing cards or fixing whatever little repair she needed; generally, it was the remote control on her television or her cell phone speed dial. He always had a way of making everyone he knew feel special, especially if they were having a bad day. Christopher was an avid Oklahoma City Thunder fan, and loved going to the games or watching them at home with his brother, Jonathan. Christopher went to Westminster School and graduated from the University of Oklahoma High School. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Myles Henry Shema, Carl Henry Hampton, and Blanche Elizabeth Hampton. Survivors include his parents, Michael D. and Debra V. Hampton; brother, Jonathan Myles Hampton; his grandmother, Christel F. Shema; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial service will be held Monday, November 27 at 11 a.m. at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 222 NW 15th Street. In lieu of flowers, Christopher volunteered or participated in many nonprofits, all were United Way agencies, please give to the United Way of Central Oklahoma designating an agency of your choice.
