Christopher Strang Trapp passed away unexpectedly in Edmond Oklahoma on Friday, January 18th, 2019 at the age of 70.
Chris is survived by his children, Angela Trapp Fuhrmann and husband Mark of Washington State, Michael Trapp of Oklahoma City, Kathryn Trapp of Tulsa, his sons, Connor and Aaron Trapp of Edmond; his sister, Kirsten Trapp Graham and husband Mark of Tulsa; four grandchildren, Kirsten and Holly Fuhrmann, and Ethan and Zoe Baldridge. He was preceded in death by his parents M.E. Trapp Jr. and Geralda M. Trapp of Oklahoma City.
Chris had a quick wit, an infectious smile and a memorable laugh. He was an exceptional storyteller and never missed a chance to share a good one. He was an avid OU supporter, a member of the Sooner Club and a season ticket holder for many decades. It gave him a tremendous sense of pride to see his son Connor begin his freshman year as a Sooner, to be followed this fall by his granddaughter, Kirsten. Chris will be remembered for the love he had for his children and grandchildren. He cherished his time with each of them and often opined about how blessed he was to have them in his life. He will be greatly missed.
There will be a visitation at Smith & Kernke N. May on Friday, January 25th from 5:00-7:30p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 26th at 11:00 a.m. at St John the Baptist Catholic Church with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Chris's life.
