Clare Rita Mccormick

Rita was born in St. Louis, Mo and moved to Oklahoma City as a young girl. She graduated from Classen High in 1941. Rita married Art McCormick in 1950 and together they had three children, David, Bob, and Ann. She was widowed in 1959 and focused her life on raising her three children. Devout in her Catholic faith, she was a member of Christ the King for over sixty years. She worked at Christ the King school where she was affectionately known as the "Lunch Lady." She then worked at the State Capital until retiring. Rita enjoyed telling stories of the USO dances in World War II, trips to St. Louis by train, and riding in the rumble seat of the family car on dirt roads. She enjoyed playing bridge with good friends and water walking at the YWCA. Most of all she loved and enjoyed her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rita is survived by her three children, David McCormick and wife, Judy, Wheaton IL, Bob McCormick and wife, Dawn, Norman, and Ann Marie Boese and husband, DeWayne, Enid. Her grandchildren, Thad McCormick and wife, Andrya, Yukon, Chuck McCormick and wife, Melissa, Tulsa, Josh McCormick and wife, Rachel, Norman, Ben McCormick and wife, Cassie, Norman, Ashley Hughes and husband, Uriah, Norman, Amy Roswurm and husband, Jesse, Norman, Jon Sullens and wife, Rebecca, Enid, Patrick Sullens and wife, Jamie, Delta, CO, Anna Boese-Fahsholtz and husband Bryan, Enid. Her great grandchildren Tobyn, Tytan, Maddox, Abigail, Caitlynn, Annalyssa, Elizabeth, Kaysen, Chazaya, Nathan, Daniel, Josiah, Emily, Kaitlyn, Jonathan, Jessica, Colton, Hunter, McKinzee, Reese, Rhet, another great grand-baby due in August, and her sister, Betty Perkins, and brother, Bob Eufinger. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Arthur McCormick, brother, Jack Eufinger, sister, Jane Coleman, and grandson Matthew McCormick.
