Colonel Blagg passed away Sunday, August 29, 2010 in Austin, Texas surrounded by loving family members. He was born July 24, 1922, in Kansas and lived in Wyoming, Oklahoma and the last few years in Texas. He attended the University of Wyoming receiving a degree in Accounting. He was a World War II veteran serving with the 69th Infantry and received the Bronze Star. He met his wife, Alma, married in 1946, and was married for 54 glorious years. He and his family were members of Christ the King Catholic Church for 45 years and he attained the honor of 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. He also served on the town council of Forest Park, OK and served as it's mayor. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and a brother. He is survived by his daughters: Judy Whitfield, her husband Lloyd Whitfield and their son Shane Whitfield; Janice Alvarez, her son Frank Alvarez and his wife Holly and his great grandchildren, Frank, Olivia and Nicholas; Jeanne Gardner, her husband Tom Gardner and their son, Jarrod Gardner; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
