Connie M. Gray passed away in the early morning of November 28th, at the age of 81. She was a retired English teacher who enjoyed golfing, playing bridge and piano, volunteering, attending book club, and spending time with her friends and family. Never one to sit idly by, she wouldn't hesitate to try something new or help someone in need. She filled her days with literature and activities, and her nights with music and dinners with friends and family. She was grace, kindness and generosity personified, and will be missed by a vast network of friends and her close-knit family. She charmed everyone she met with her sweet and vibrant nature. Truly, to know her was to love her.
She was preceded in death by husband Richard Gray, second husband Bill Christian, first husband Woody Gaddis, her son Doug Gaddis, her daughter Lyn Pettijohn, and her granddaughter-in-law Anna Thomas.
She is survived by her grandson Christopher Thomas and his wife Bryna, Patrick Thomas and his wife Ashley and his son Atticus, brother Marvin Murphy and his wife Nancy and his two children Shawn and Cherie. She also leaves behind her beloved dog Lucy.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Bella Foundation or the Muscular Dystrophy Association. A Celebration of Life will be held at Smith & Kernke Funeral Chapel on December 2nd at 1pm.
